Seasons

ASA is home to the premiere Club Team Program in the Bay Area because of our unique training style. With the knowledge that "Championships are won in the Off-Season", we have developed our program to include 3 seasons, with each season having a specific training focus. The first 2 seasons are spent in the ACE program building a foundation of strength, speed and power while increasing individual mechanics such as hitting, pitching & fielding. The 3rd season is spent training and competing in a team atmosphere through workouts, practice games and tournaments.

Off-Season January-March/ACE Program (building the foundation)

  • All age groups start on Sunday, January 7th 2007.
  • Designed to build speed, power & agility in each athlete with additional focus on arm strengthening, explosive hitting, core strength & cardio-vascular endurance.
  • 2 workouts per week held inside the ASA facility.
  • No games will be played during this portion.
  • The facility will feature self-paced workout stations
  • Provisional Membership to the facility (full use of drill stations, live tunnels, mounds and weight/cardio room).

Pre-Season April-June/ACE Program (developing the skills)

  • Designed to run alongside the athlete's Community league season.
  • Enhances fundamentals in specific skill sets such as hitting, fielding & pitching while maintaining our existing foundation of physical strength, speed and agility.
  • Younger groups begin team oriented practices, double-headers and tournaments while older groups focus on enhancing individual mechanics.
  • Half the workouts will be held inside at ASA, the other half outside at various fields.
  • Provisional Membership to the facility (full use of drill stations, live tunnels, mounds and weight/cardio room).

In-Season July-November/Tournament Play (showcasing the talent)
