Softball ACE
Athletes Committed to Excellence
Softball Specific Training Program
As the premiere program at All Star Academy, the "ACE" Program is what sets us apart from our competitors. We have modeled the ACE after many successful collegiate & professional programs and scaled it appropriately for each specific age group. The result of this program is that the athlete will develop into a stronger, faster and more fundamentally sound player. As an "athlete committed to excellence", your child will learn the true meaning of commitment and the discipline that it takes to become a better all around athlete. The ACE is made up of two specific seasons with different focuses.
Specific Programs included in the ACE
EFS at ASA Power Sports Program: Run by a professional conditioning instructor from Extreme Fitness & Sport, the "PSP" is a baseball/softball specific training program designed to increase speed, quickness, power and agility in each athlete. EFS has trained many baseball teams including Santa Clara University, Mission College, De Anza College, San Jose City College as well as West Valley College. The two most powerful attributes of EFS are summed up in their slogan: "Thousands Trained & Proven Results".
Explosive Hitting Program: Developed by ASA's principle hitting instructors, this program increases strength, speed and reaction time in the major muscle groups associated with swinging a bat. When combined with proper mechanics, the Explosive Hitting Program enables athletes to both hit the ball harder and farther on a more consistent basis
Arm Strengthening Program: Through a combination of resistance training, long toss, core strength & proper throwing mechanics, this program will improve an athlete's velocity, distance, accuracy, and range of motion (flexibility) while simultaneously preventing injury.
Skill Clinics (pre-season focus): ASA will offer skill specific clinics for our ACE athletes in order to target the essential fundamentals in hitting, pitching, catching and fielding.
