Nick played locally at Cupertino High School where he earned First Team All-League honors 2 years as a shortstop. He then attended De Anza Junior College for 2 years. In his second year there he decided to make the change to pitcher and earned a scholarship to the University of San Francisco. Nick was chosen by the San Francisco Giants in the 10th round of the 2005 draft where he spent five years in the organization, two of them in Triple A Fresno. In 2006, Nick was selected to the California League All-Star Team and was asked to compete in the Futures Game in Pittsburg.
As All-Star Academy's Director of Pitching, Nick brings a wealth of knowledge to the table along with a passion to develop youth baseball players. ASA is lucky to have an instructor of Nick's caliber!
