Joe started his baseball career with a scholarship to Fresno State and then played professionally for two years in the Independent Leagues. He was a GTE Academic All-American in 1998 and 1999 at Fresno State. Not only has Joe worked at ASA for over 8 years, he is a co-founder and considered one of the best hitting coaches in the Bay Area!

Joe is also in charge of ASA's College Placement Program and in the past 2 seasons his graduating classes have compiled a record of 60-12 with over 85% of the players moving on to play college baseball.
