Instruction Focus: Hitting and Fielding
Raised in Morgan Hill, Alex began her softball career playing competitively on the San Jose Strikkers and later the 18U Gold Strike Zone. She attended Archbishop Mitty High School, starting all four years for the Monarchs. She was recruited by the University of California at Berkeley, where she accepted a full-ride scholarship starting all four years for the Golden Bears. The Bears made it to the College World Series two of her four years placing second during her freshman year in the spring of 2004. She graduated Cal with a degree in Sociology in 2006. Crowning her softball career, she played professional softball for the New England Riptide during the 2007 season.
